Painted

Moss rose flowers. These pictures were taken one morning during the month of July in my grandmother's garden. They looked so beautiful and colorful in the morning sun...
The name of this post comes from my artist brother's reaction when he saw them. He said they looked like they're painted... Enjoy!

Cherries

Sour cherries photographed in my yard at the begging of summer. I'm actually not such a big fan of sour cherries, I like the sweetness of cherries more. But, right now, my yard is full of sour cherry trees, all the cherry trees we had in my childhood are gone, withered.
But sour cherries still look good on camera, though. I love the natural red.

Purple flowers

I don't really know the name of these flowers. It's a cacti-like potted plant I, again, got from my aunt. It's a small plant with small flowers but I like it a lot. It was in full bloom when I took this picture, little purple flowers everywhere.
I love cacti in general. I don't know if it's because they're so exotic or because they remind me of the western movies I so liked as a child, but they're one of my favorite plants when it comes to flowers that you keep in a pot. The first plant I ever bought for myself was a baby cactus with pink flowers. I still have it now but it hasn't bloomed since. I'm waiting for next spring to see if it happens again.

Royalty

White lily in my grandmother's garden. The lily is one of my favorite flowers (next to calla lilies), especially the white one, so I had to post at least one photo with lilies. Unfortunately, this year the lilies in my garden were few and not especially good looking so I had to go raiding through my grandmother's garden again.
I especially like white regal lilies because they are simply beautiful, they stand so tall and have a powerful smell. This one here is not royal, but it's bigger than the common lily so I'm guessing it's a hybrid. Still nice and beautiful. Enjoy!
