Roses explosion

I gathered all the pictures of roses I ever took in one post. All the pictures were taken during the month of June, most of them in my garden and some in my grandmother's garden. Enjoy the vivid colors and the multitude of roses!

Diamonds

A red rose and sparkly rain drops. I like these pictures, the drops look so nice and the petals are like velvet. Click on the pictures for a better view.
These pictures were taken at the beginning of this month, in the evening, after the rain stopped. Roses season is now over in my garden, most of them have already withered, but they were so beautiful while it lasted and their smell always filled up the atmosphere.

Summer colours

Red poppies, purple salvia and thistles. Part two of the photos I promised in this post. I initially thought there would be more but these are the ones that survived the selection. They have a bit of a rough and rugged feeling about them and, of course, they are a nice portrait of summer.
The sapling you see on the sky background in the first picture is an apricot tree. Apricot trees are really common here, where I live and the one in this picture is a wild one that I guess grew from a kernel, no one planted it.

Wilde purple

Salvia flowers. I took a trip at the beginning of this month, to visit some relatives and I had the opportunity to photograph a lot of wildflowers of all colors, a blue sky and some beautiful landscapes that just smelled like summer. These two pictures here are some of the ones I took then. There are more to come in the next days. I hope you'll like them.
These pictures were kind of hard to take. I had only a short amount of time for photographing and the sun was so bright that I could hardly see the display of my camera. So, most of the time I just had to go with my instinct when it came to framing and such. I still like the outcome, though.

Rainy days

While I selected the pictures I realized that everything in this post is green: green grapes, green cherries, vines and leafs. It was unintentional. This is a collection of pictures I took one rainy day last month, while it was still raining some. I had to protect my camera from the drops. Enjoy the green and the rainy feeling!

Green fields

Green barley. I took this pictures last month in a barley field near my garden. I was drawn to it one Sunday afternoon by the way the wind moved through the grains, making it shine from place to place and looking like small, soft waves in an ocean. The fact that I had to jump a fence made of barbed wire to get there it's just a small detail and it only transformed the whole shoot in a memorable little adventure for me.

Invaders

Blue Cornflower bud surrounded by ants. Picture taken last month, in my grandmother's garden. Believe it or not, I didn't notice the ants until I downloaded the photo from my camera. But I believe that way it makes for an even more interesting shot. (Click on the picture for a better view of the bud and the ants)

Sunny

A yellow flower from my garden. Unfortunately I don't know it's name. My mother, who planted it, doesn't know and I didn't have any success trying to find out online, so I can't tell you what type of plant it is. That doesn't take away from it's beauty, though. I like this shot. I like the irregular shape of the petals and you can almost feel how soft they are through the picture. I hope you like it too.

The flowers in my window

White geranium. Photos taken last month after the rain.
Geraniums are some of my mothers favorite flowers, so she has a lot of them. I didn't use to like them, until I saw this one. It was just too beautiful.

Yellow

Yellow roses in the back of my garden. Both pictures were taken the same day, first one in the afternoon and the second one in the morning. The angle is a bit different, though. I would love to hear which one you like the most.
